Welcome to my portfolio. I'm Mark Anthony Coltrin, a dedicated professional with a commitment to excellence and a strong foundation in both military service and higher education.
For over twenty-six years, I have called the Washington DC metropolitan area home. My journey here began in Takoma Park in 1998, where I started my professional career. Since then, I've lived and worked in Silver Spring, Capitol Hill, Old Town Alexandria, and currently reside in Columbia, Maryland.
In 2002, I met my partner Allison, and we settled in Columbia, Maryland—a wonderful community that offers an excellent quality of life for working professionals. The DMV region has provided me with rich professional experiences and a strong sense of community that shapes who I am today.
I remain active in my professional pursuits and community, bringing discipline and integrity from my military background to everything I do.
In the summer of 1981, Mark enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program in the USMC. Shortly after graduation, he reported to Parris Island for basic training.
In his four years of active duty, he traveled from various bases but spent the bulk of his active duty at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, as well as Okinawa, Japan.
In the summer of 1986, he was honorably discharged from active duty.
After serving two years in the reserves, he received his final discharge papers in 1988.
